The Use of Flower Essences

Flower Essences were first developed by Edward Bach, an English physician. By using the flower essence or energy he developed a system of alternative healing on the mental, emotional and spiritual level rather than the physical level. Many others have developed essences not only with flowers, but with gemstones, other plants, herbs and more. Some of the conditions essences are used for may include (but are not limited to) depression, stress, anxiety, insomnia, etc.

Recently I wanted to try an essence for personal experience. Because I was trying to make some money via the internet after an illness that was taking some time to recover from, I chose an essence for abundance. I must say that I was trying for some time to find internet work and had come up blank. Several days after staring the essences, I found writing jobs and then more after that. I really had no preconceived ideas about the essence working, but it did seem, in my opinion, seem to break through the block that I had about being able to bring in income. I definitely will try another essence in the near future.

Essences can be used alone or in combination to receive a certain benefit. They are also used on animals/pets. This says, to me, that one does not have to necessarily believe in the essence for it to work. Although there are many companies making essences to discover and try, as previously stated, the Bach Flower Essences are the most famous.

Here are some of the individual essences and conditions they are known to help.

Aspen: fear of unknown
Beech: intolerance
Centaury: can’t say no
Chestnut bud: unable to learn from mistakes
Chicory: selfish and possessive
Crab apple: cleansing and self hatred
Elm: overwhelmed by responsibility
Holly: envy and jealousy
Honeysuckle: living in the past
Larch: lack of confidence
Mustard: gloom without reason
Olive: exhaustion
Pine: guilt
Star of Bethlehem: shock
Vine: inflexibility
Wild Oat: uncertainty over ones life path
Willow: self pity and resentment
